You are decreasing overall cartridge length, which equates to less velocity at the muzzle and less energy, as well as less recoil. A lot of people prefer the .380 due to ease of use racking the slide over a 9mm, as the springs are lighter.After looking at and playing with the magazines it looks like SIG uses the same body for the .380 magazines that they use for the 9mm magazines. My wife is more comfortable with a .380 and if I'm ever away from the house, it's available should the need arise.In my opinion, the P365 trigger is smooth enough. Any gains achieved by polishing will not likely show up on your target 7-15 yards away. Where and how consistently the bullet hits should be the goal, not the feel of the trigger. As with Paul' above ^^^, it's a whole lot simpler to buy or sell the slide than a whole gun. BTW, the SAS slide has run fine on two P365s; SIG must hold tight tolerances. Moon.SIG Sauer Forum. If you live a relatively "normal" life that doesnt involve running into bad guys, or live in a bad neighborhood then the P365 would be a perfect gun for home defense.
